Use Nut Crumbs to Make Spicy Pasta and Cheese

Comfort foods. We all crave them.

BE WARNED: This recipe is not necessarily healthy, BUT it's one of the most delicious things you'll ever eat.

Ingredients:

1 box of your favorite pasta (macaroni, shells, or any other favorite)

1 cup of grated Cheddar cheese

1 cup of grated Pepper Jack cheese

1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

1 stick of butter

2 cups of whole milk

4 T. flour

1/2 t. salt

1/2 t. pepper

1/4 c. Flavored Nut Crumbs - we recommend the spicy kind!

Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Bring a large pot of water (heavily salted) to boil.

Add the pasta to the boiling water, and take out and strain when still somewhat firm (al dente).

While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large saucepan.

When the butter is melted, add the flour and stir constantly, until the mixture turns light brown (this usually takes 1-2 minutes)

Add the milk to the mixture and whisk it to remove any clumps from the flour.

Add in the salt and pepper to the mixture, then cook over a medium heat until the sauce starts to congeal and bubble....about 5 minutes.

Add all of your cheese to the mixture and stir until cheese is melted.

Once the cheese has been introduced to the mixture, add the pasta and stir it in until it's completely submerged in the cheesy sauce.

Transfer the entire mixture to a baking dish and coat with your favorite nut crumbs.

Keep dish in the oven for 15-20 minutes then serve.
