Homemade Cinnamon Almond Butter with Vanilla & Raisins

It's no secret that we're huge nut butter fans. We've always loved Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, cinnamon raisin bread and oatmeal cookies.

Basically, we're suckers for anything with cinnamon and raisins.

What we DON'T like, though, are all the added ingredients - like refined sugar and palm kernel oil.

So we came up with a new and better version of cinnamon almond butter made with only four basic ingredients.

1) Almonds,

2) Raisins,

3) Cinnamon, and

4) Vanilla.

The chopped raisins add the sweetness and they pair INCREDIBLY well with the cinnamon and vanilla, and the flavor is to die for.

It’s incredible.

Truly.

We're warning you though, you will end up eating it straight out of the jar by the spoonful.

Take it from the experts ;-)

INGREDIENTS

2 cups raw almonds

1/4 cup raisins

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

METHOD

Pre-heat oven to 350°, spread almonds on a 9X13 baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Cool for 20 minutes or so.

Place roasted almonds in a food processor and process for 10 minutes, occasionally scraping down the sides.

Add remaining ingredients and process again.

Blend until smooth (about 3-5 more minutes), occasionally scraping the sides.

To speed things up, you can use Fresh Roasted Cinnamon Almonds, and save yourself the added roasting time and cinnamon ingredient.
